May 10, 1940 Fall Gelb (invasion of the low countries)

Early in the morning Army Group B (von Bock) crossed the German Dutch border. During the night all Dutch airfields had already been bombed. The Germans used over 1,000 aircraft against the Dutch, who had only 125 aircraft, from which less than 60 were fighters.

Nevertheless the Germans lost over 500 aircraft over the Netherlands (the Germans did loose less than 1,900 aircraft in the whole Battle of Britain). From these aircraft, 220 were Ju-52 transport aircraft, due to which the Germans were unable to use air borne troops against Great-Britain.

Huub, what models are those and where can I get them from? I've admired them in your sig for some time and have been meaning to ask.

The Fokker? looks brilliant. Look forward to hearing more. The other plane which I have seen pictures of before... I'm not at all familiar with.

The top one is a very old CFS2 Fokker D-XXI model by Paul Straney (actually a never released beta). But as Bjoern already mentioned, "soonish" there will be a full native Fokker D-XXI with all "whistles and bells". The model is done by a young Dutchman and believe it or not it is his first model ever!

It will be fun to fly as it will have a fully clickable VC and many things work different in a Fokker. And best of all; You all have to learn Dutch as all the labels near handles and switched are in Dutch....

The model on the lower picture is the FS2004 Fokker G-1 by Michel Migaud. Although it is actually an unfinished model it is still fun to fly and it works in FSX. Its available here at the Sim-Outhouse.

Cheers,
Huub
