May Developer Livestream / SU 16

SOH-CM-2025
Any thoughts on this following the Developer Live Stream yesterday?

I still find it so disappointing that ASOBO / MSFS have had to split their support and development activities between two simulators.

If the 2024 development, testing and introduction had been managed better and they had fully involved all the key 3rd Party Devs from the outset this situation would never have come about. Managed correctly every 2020 user would have transitioned to 2024 and there would be no need to provide any material support or upgrades/bug fixes to 2020. Listening to the May Dev Live Stream it definitely feels like they are having to dilute the resources to support both Sims. Retro fitting (at no cost to the consumer) some of the 2024 features into 2020 is great for us 2020 users but it's surely a disaster from a business standpoint.

The admission that in order to make 2024 a credible option for many 2020 users they will make key assets of 2024 "locally downloadable" in SU3 is an admission that the cloud based vision and strategy was seriously flawed.

Ideally all their efforts at this point should have been on taking 2024 to the next level and exploring what might be possible for the next generation Sim.
