• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

You betcha! I never forget, but it's nice to be reminded. I never forget Henry O. Pierce. A cousin. U.S. Army. Captured on Bataan, and survived the death march and 3 1/2 years as a POW.

No Dice,

Thank you for reminding us all of the importance of this day. :applause:

The darkness will be rent by noise and flame. Men's souls will be shaken with the violences of war. For these men are lately drawn from the ways of peace. They fight not for the lust of conquest. They fight to end conquest. They fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise, and tolerance and goodwill among all Thy people. They yearn but for the end of battle, for their return to the haven of home. Some will never return. Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants, into Thy kingdom.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt

I will always remember this day as i'm named after my uncle who was killed on Omaha beach. He was 17 and had a whole life ahead of him. Cut short so that we can others can be free. Let us never forget ALL those who gave their all for us. Regards,Scott
