Maybe we can get Lionheart to do this one...

I'm all for a 180 or 185.:Banane44: I've lots of hours in 180s and towed sailplanes with one before the club bought a Piper Pawnee (another hoot to fly).

I too would love a 185/180 but.............isnt there a problem with Licences from Cessna?? Been coverd elsewhere here I think.

Only if you ask them. :gossip:

I'd like to see a 1958 172. I can provide unlimited video and still images. And sound. I'll even count the rivets. :d

In my younger days/daze, I worked as lineboy at a floatplane base where the boss owned a 180 and a 170B, both on floats. I have a special love affair with the 170B...:ernae:

Both of these "live" near me. I have thought about doing them after I get through my current active list. Both are like new.

An alternate tail. A friend and I have spent the past couple years reworking this one
on weekends. We started flying her again last fall and go up a couple weekends a month.

I'll join those wishing for a 180(k, with Robertson STOL kit lol), first taildragger I flew and loved every minute it!

I'd shove my Champ to the side for one of those...:ernae:

Nooooooooooooo... say it ain't so!!!!!!!!! To abandon the Champ like an ugly date for one of the cute, shiny things??

Frank, isn't that "Johnson bar" flap handle great? not like that dinky switch and electric motor on the newer ones.. no need to look at an indicator, just feel the pressure on your arm as you pullllllllllll 30 and 40 degrees of flap..:wavey:

I'll second that. I did a repaint for an old straight tail Cessna but had to put it on a slant tail Carenado model since it's the closest model I had.

Frank, once I get the Dash 7, XA-38 Grizzly and XP47J out the door, I might just take you up on that, if no one else does. These should keep me busy however for another 4 months. :-/ My preference is a tailddragger though.
