Had the same thing happen to me a month or so ago. After two re installs I finally had a friend email me a copy of their jpeg.dll so I could copy it into my main directory and after rebooting I am now up and running.

I don't know what caused it as every thing else in the game is fine. If you want I can send you a copy of mine.

Let me know.

Copy dr_launch_mb.exe from MAW and put it in this new folder "The Desert Rats" in the ETO main folder

It's to do with the path leading to your desktop icon. If you link directly to MB.exe in the MB folder, it won't run. You need to link your desktop shortcut to the MB shortcut in CFS root - and even then, it gets tricky if your initial install isn't quite right.

Interesting. Mine never worked from the get go. I didn't set up a desk top icon until after I got it to work. The MB.exe I use is not the one in the MB folder but rather the .exe that is in the main folder for ETO. It's the funny looking one in amongst the ETO icons. I got the same jpeg error until I replaced the file. Now it works fine

Thanks

Its all working now.I tried the fix from the MAW install but it seems, that Mb is suffering the same problem !.Strange as the vanilla install runs fine.I took the file from OFF .Ndicki i found that a problem as i had 3 shortcuts for mb.exe and the only one that worked was the one with no icon.
