Mclaren reveal new sports car

now what does it weight? you'll probably end up with 400hp per tonne, cars i like are the arial Atom and the Carver one, those 2 are mean, the ariel atom has about 1,150hp per tonne and the carver well..... it's a roadgoing fighter, almost got the cash now to getmyself a carver :icon_lol:

i saw that episode when it aired originally and though "i've gotta get me one of them" so i started saving :jump: think when i get one i'll have it black, take it to the base spraybooth and have it Olive drab :icon_lol:
 
Start looking for a secondhand Carver then, as the manufacturer closed it's doors a few months ago.

That McClarren is a beauty. Nice that its affordable compared with their previous version road car.

Ferry i'm already looking pal :icon_lol: means i may have enough now if i can find a second hand one, wonder if they'll part-exchange an MX-5 (what i currently use) and let me have it for a bit less :icon_lol: heres to hoping :icon29:
 
It's not supposed to compete with the F1, Wombat but rather with cars like the Ferrari 458 italia and such. There will be two other McLaren roadcars in the next few years which should compete with the Bugatti's and Koenigeggs.

Still at less than half the price of the F1 (What it cost 13 years ago) and only 27 hp less performance will not be too far off. It will no doubt be heavier than the F1 but gearbox and suspension will be more advanced. Will be interesting to see those two go head to head on a racetrack. (I see an opportunity for Top Gear here!)

Yes it's a radical move to enter that very competitive market segment at this point, which I understand is all but dead.
Hope they can bridge the bad times and make it work long-term
 
it reminds me a lot of the ferrari F360/430 . i don't care much for it at all .

the old 300SL still remains to me the most beautiful mercedes ever built .
i am so glad mercedes just seems to have taken the spirit of the old gullwing and put it in a completely new/original design instead of falling for the gimmicks that too manufacturers many have recently of just taking an old design and modifying it to look modern( current/new ford mustang , new camaro , new challenger , new beetle ... :censored:) .

The problem is May probably called it hideous, Clarkson would want to put NOS on it. I just want to know what The Stigs lap time was.
