It took the better part of Friday afternoon, swapping sections of my old install into a fresh install, but I found the culprit of my CTD...
The Stock D3A1_Val MDL file was corrupted.
I don't know how, I don't know why ~ I haven't touched that plane for literally months. But removing the stock Val from the mix got everything back to "Normal".
