I go into the Hospital Friday to have my Kidney removed due to Cancer, after what seemed like an endless bombardment of tests, scans and MRIs the Cancer is Isolated to inside my right Kidney, which is very good news. Now its just a matter of getting through a little cuttin'.

My Mom had her kidney taken out 2 years ago now.

She has no problems.

Good wishes to you and yours. I hate to mention this but not saying it can be inconcievably worse that offering some simple advice. Take a sharpie pen right now (or other if allergic) and mark your good kidney side with big letters NOT THIS ONE, THE OTHER ONE! I've seen this done fairly often with all sorts of procedures. It can't possibly hurt.
