Megascenery Complete State

Just wondering if I am doing something wrong installing Connecticut as the scenery appears very flat and no definition as far as trees, bushes, and other types of vegetation whereas the default FSX scenery looks quite a bit better. The installation is picking C:\Megascenery so I installed it into that folder. Is there a better way to install?

No it's photoreal so no autogen trees buildings and such. Good for mid to high altitude not so much for low.

Ditto, Photoscenery is great if you don't plan on landing, lol. Scenery designers use photoscenery as background textures, but those are normally limited to the airport general area and they add custom autogen to fill. Companies that sell large areas of photoscenery don't always take the time to add buildings and vegetation for obvious reasons (too time consuming being the biggest reason).

Mega Scenery stopped putting in autogen with V2. If you look for airports that are made for the mega sets, the areas around the airports will get autogen. I have gotten use to no trees and buildings except around the airports but it is a trade off of buildings and poor representation of an area or no buildings and an actual view of the ground. In mountainous areas, you really don't miss the autogen that much.

Nuvecta has a series of packages to "add back in" the autogen trees, etc. I have no experience with either Megascenery or Nuvecta, so I can't comment on how well they work together. The website does say the packages were designed for compatibility with Megascenery, though.

The state package for Connecticut isn't released yet, but apparently is due soon.
