Memory testing?

Just last week I received my second set of what was suppose to be the same memory as I had originally purchased when I built my new computer. The packaging, labels, numbers, etc are all the same. I just ran CPUZ and clicked on the SPD tab, then changed to view each slot/stick information. The numbers don't match. Slots 1 & 3 are what I had originally. 2 & 4 are the new sticks and lesser mhz. My question is, is there a way to change the frequency on the lower of the two sticks to get them to the frequency of what I had, or is this a return the memory issue?

Both packages say the same thing;

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXMItem #: N82E16820231445

Looks like the same ram, the specs are the same. What frequency does it show on the memory tab, thats the one that is important. The 1600meg is overclocked, so the max bandwdth is its normal operatng status. and only an id its not what it is running at. But it isnt idealto do what you have done, it is better to buy a kit, that way you have less problems.
