Hi all,iv`e downloaded 3 sound files for the Spit/P51 Merlin but they all drone on even in a shallow dive, listening to actual aircraft on U Tube the revs seem to increase when diving and that whistle is not evident in the sound files.anyone got one that does?

You might be hearing the Doppler effect if the pitch seems to get higher as it dives, it may be because it is diving toward the camera. All but the very earliest Spitfires and Hurricanes had constant speed propellers, so revs will not increase in a dive - they will stay just where the pilot set them. There is only one Spitfire flying that doesn't have a constant speed prop, and on that one the revs do increase as airspeed increases, such as in a dive.

I did do a set included in Spitfire Mk.VII/VIII package that has the supercharger whistle, it may be more to your liking.

It's included in the Spitfire VII/VIII package available here under British Aircraft.
