Merry Christmas from Classics Hangar

Ro I will make a post in the P3D forum (I don't want to clutter up this FSX forum) when I have it finalized (I will drop you a PM too) because it is in by brute force at the moment because I could not get the textures to show at all at first. I had to resort to FS9 methods with every texture in every texture folder to get things to show up. I need to work on the texture.cfg files so that they point to the correct places.

Larry,
thank you for posting this - that first screenshot is lovely. I wonder if you would mind posting the details of the process you had to go through to install it in P3Dv4.5, please, as I would love to be able to do the same here . . .

Thanks in advance for your consideration,
Ro

Me too, Also would like to squeeze them into P3Dv4.5

From memory I managed it by copying texture files that are linked from shared folder(s) into each different texture folder.

A crude engineer's solution but it works with a slight increase in storage demand. Been a while, just keep backups and chuck files around until you see the textures in P3D4.5.

I did that originally FS9 style but that meant the aircraft folder was HUGE with all the duplicated texture sets then @Cees Donker tipped me off to the way he did it for the FW190 and now they are all linked back to the common texture folder in the correct manner.

Thank you for this very generous freeware Mathias! I previously purchased your great Me-108 but it will be wonderful to fly the FW190 variants which look amazing!

Bill

Hey guys,
thanks for your renewed interest in our little birds. Mind you, I posted this a year ago, Christmas 2024.;)
One question, the exe contains last updated bird or we need install the updates parts too?

I'm afraid as of yet you'll have to install the updates after installing the main exe file.

For you p3d guys:
If FSX is not installed, the installation will go into "C:\\program files (X86)\MyProduct\" .
Should you have FSX installed but want to install into P3D, just temporarely rename your FSX path into something else and run the installer. it will then install into "C:\\program files (X86)\MyProduct\" .

According to Tako_Kichi, the black aircraft can be solved by moving the content of the various "texture.xxx/4096" or "texture.xxx/2048" folders one node higher.
As an example, all textures inside the folder "texture.IBFW/4096/" should be moved to "texture.IBFW/".

I'll probably redo the installers to allow for more options on your end. Will take me a bit though.

Have a happy new year!

First few flights in the FW-190A-8 yesterday - what an excellent aircraft with top class visuals and well replicated systems! It has the added bonus for FSX users of not being too resource intensive despite its excellent graphics using only about 300MB of VAS over and above the default Beech Baron.

Many thanks,
Bill
