Each time I strat CFS3 i get a meaasge that the game was not shut down properly and asks to send MS the report of help fixing it, although I exited the game using the end mission and exit functions. I have this occur on a Win11 OS. Any suggestions?

I have Win7, sometimes I have to exit by 'Ctrl Shift Q'. I would get
'Another version is running' but I remember that message, too.

Ok, I still get the message that CFS3 did not close properly. So I am baffled why I get this. On my Win 10 installs only get that message when the CTD occurs.

Is it with MAW 1943 ? Have the same problem with that install.
I make a vanilla install and I do not receive the message. I will slowly add features and files to the game and see when the error message occurs.
Thudman: FYI - I have edited the CFS3.exe (just for my use only mind you) to NOT need the Ju88, Me109, and P47D25 for the game to run. I have made an install that has revised the frontline.xml file, removed all spawns and missions, that call for these planes - as an educational experience mind you. I have removed all vanilla planes and the game has run just fine. Just in case I will make the vanilla a test bed for this mod and see if there is something I have neglected to revise (just to learn).
