Ravenna,

Very nice! It brought this scene to mind from Flyboys...

Andrew,

Amazing what one can do with a little hammer:untroubled:. Keep that Gotha's markings in mind when you see the next upload.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - World War I

Description: GOTHA G.IV

This model of the Gotha G.IV was made by Stephan Scholz. Stephan also did the .air file.

The panel has been revised and updated by Kevin Driver.

We gratefully acknowledge the original creators of the various gauges: Claudio Mussner and Stephan Scholz for the CMSR ones, and Bastian Hundt and Horst Weingärtner for the BHHW gauges.

Martin Klein has generously allowed the inclusion of his conversions of the CMSR gauges and has provided valuable advice.

Texture sets "603" and "604" are by Michael Lang, based on a set of PSP templates made by John Burdett (UncleTGT). Many thanks John. Texture set "405" is John's creation.

Michael has played around with the DP file. The G.IV had various loadout configurations over its service life.

Given the hardpoint limitation for CFS2 the best approach seemed to us to be 2 sets of bomb loadouts with a degree of commonality, so you will notice the DP files vary from one Gotha to another.

Take your pick. Delete/ replace according to your preference or mission.

In the Aircraft folder you will find 3 individual aircraft folders and a common folder. Just copy the contents of the common folder to the other 3 folders.

Rename individual aircraft folders as you see fit, but be aware that the upcoming Gontrode air base created by Kevin Driver will call up the "Gotha_GIV" as part of the scenery.

Thanks to Allen Downey for the Parabellum machine guns.

This has been very much a collaborative project. We hope you enjoy the outcome.

Stephan Scholz, Kevin Driver Michael Lang.

From the side markings, it must have been MicroSoft's corporate Gotha. :stupid:

:biggrin-new::biggrin-new:

Not so much shot down as having their account deleted.

The MS on my paintwork, however comes from crew or pilot's initials. My favourite scheme is MOROTAS, which was made up from the initials of all the crew names of a very colourful Gotha.

Now updated. Thanks Andrew. The sound pack is from the old "Combat Aces" add on by Just Flight. It was made for the CA Staaken. I tried to contact Mike Hambly to ask for confirmation of his authorship and permission to upload but couldn't find him. I did find a few Flightsim forum posts from wayback (2008) saying his contact details were defunct.
I seem to have saved some of the BMPs in the wrong format. The GI5 and GI9 BMPs in the "603" and "604" texture sets appear to be too large. I'll have a look at resizing them today.:banghead:

Oi veh, it's not my day. It has been pointed out to me that in texture folders 603 and 604 I have saved in the wrong format AND included 2 superceded BMPs (GothaGI5 and GothaGI9):banghead:. Apologies to those members who have downloaded this package already. As soon as my minders :a1089: approve my corrections I will post them here.

Thanks Team Daedalus, Just saw that at midnight. I'll post the corrections here in a couple of hours.

Corrected Gotha BMPs and DPs

Here are the altered BMPs. I have also made a couple of minor adjustments to the DPs. My apologies to anyone who has already downloaded the Gotha IV pack. Stephan, mea culpa.:pop4:

Rami, would you please make the adjustments? Thanks.
