• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Middle Eastern Meteor Skins for Alpha Bird.

Right, Folks.

As requested, I've managed to convert my Meteor skins to fit the Alphasim F3/F8. I must confess that they do look quite smart on the AS Meteor as the model gives them just the right amount of shine. Just some minor tweaks and they'll be ready to upload, along with a modded dp giving them 250, 500 and 1000lb bombs, rockets and NAPALM (I love the smell etc, etc). Piccies added for your perusal.

If anybody wants to volunteer to build campaigns/missions around the post-war Middle East, that would be great. I've got a lot of early Arab-Israeli skins on the go at the moment and I'm concentrating on the 40's and 50's (including some British and French stuff) and it would be great to have a campaign to fly them in.

Your right. I think one of the things thats always bothered me a little, is all of these beautiful creations, be it skins, plane, bases that just sit on the shelf and never get a chance to come to life in a mission or campaign.
I think giving these works a purpose in the sim is the best way of saying thank you to the artists/creators.
I quess that is what got me off my duff and make my own clumbsy attempt at doing something about that...

Unfortunately, I plan on staying in the CBI. I've found too many compelling and untold stories (At least in the context of this venue) that need to be represented. But who knows someone may be on "it" as we speak.. :ernae:
