That title got your attention, didn't it? This was in 2002 though. I had no idea this had happened. That just goes to show you how much publicity that UAVs used to get. Sure, this was on TV, but it wasn't all over the place. There's a lot to the rifts between Saddam and the Western world that won't make it into the history books.

I have no doubt that there are RPAs out there that can dominate any manned fighter. If there aren't, then our DARPA money is wasted.
 
There was some rather spectacular footage released quite some time ago that showed a Russian Mig-29 shooting down a Georgian UAV from the point of view of the UAV itself.
