• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Migration Tool for Prepar3D v4 now released

jeansy

No longer active
Personally I not a fan as theres still a lot of addons that bottleneck cpu and gpu in v4 or still wont work due to the dll and gau format however

if your one of those people who prefer this tool its now supporting V4

https://www.flightsim.ee/

and from memory its free for existing customers

however if it does some how to convert the shortfalls in dlls and gau please speak up as it will draw a lot of interest

Thanks for the heads up Matt.

To answer your last note: As a person who develops C++ gauges (dll's), I can say definitively this program will not fix dll errors. While xml and lua scripts can be edited in their operating form, dll's are black boxes. In other words, while you can use a program such as Notepad++ to open and edit xml and lua scripts, there is no program that can open and edit a dll. Converting a dll from 32-bit or 64-bit can only be achieved through changes in the C++/C# source code.
