Mike Stone Aircraft...

Last I heard he was in poor health. He has a bad heart and it doesn't get better with age. We exchange e-mails every now and then. Tom Clayton would probably know more.

Outstanding! :Banane44: Nice to have all of Mike's stuff in one location.
(My first use of a banana guy in a post, hehe)

Good on ya Garry!! Sorry to hear of Mike's poor health. I applaud Mike for his efforts making these models, they were outstanding.

Thanks for hosting Mike's models for us simmers Garry. Sorry to hear of Mike's poor health - I wish him the best.
PS - Mike if you're reading this thanks for all of your contributions to the flightsim community over the years! :ernae:

I just got an email from Garry - the site's done! All the installers are wrapped in zips (per his server's requirements), and each download has a small thumbnail. There's also links to Garry's own additional textures where he's done them.

It's good to see Mike's planes back in a browseable format. The people at VOZ did a good thing when they uploaded everything in one file, but for dialup users, it would have been a daunting task to download.

It doesn't matter if you like them for the pure flying simplicity, or if you simply strip the panels and use them for AI, Mike's planes are always handy to have around!

BTW, I just talked to Mike yesterday. He's doing quite well. Yes, he does have a heart condition of some sort, but meds keep things under control. He's nowhere near "down and out" yet!:applause:

Good lord, 107 different aircraft, i did'nt know he made so many, what a fantasic collection, thanks Mike and Garry for hosting them.
cheers ian

That's not all he made! There's a few others he did for FS2002 that he never updated to FS9. I really wish his Leopard had been updated...

I've been playing with that......done some stuff on a new panel (as per production aircraft plans - I've got a cross section above the desk i'm at now) that i'm trying to finish. I've also been playing with a model. I do love this aeroplane, dad was chief engineer and CMC was based not 7 miles from where I now sit. The model below is an early version, I cant get the windows quite right.

I have enjoyed flying almost everything Mike has done, especially the PBY and T-39 Sabreliner.

Great to have such enthusiasm for his work here.

Cheers! Mike :wiggle:
