The MiG-3 was the result of the program to improve the MiG-1. From February 20, 1941, a new version with two further 12,7 mm UBK guns on under-wing pods with 145 rounds each was produced.
The new addition revealed itself unsatisfactory, as the weight increase of about 150 kg, deteriorating the flight...
