Certainly a unique choice, when you think about it, there are so many different types and some real goodies, be interesting to follow this build, I only know the type in military uniform, I'm sure its really going to tickle some peoples fancy, old but new. :encouragement:

I'll buy this. Right up my alley, actually. Hopefully, without complex avionics, it won't take as long as usual with Milviz. This and the Beaver (and the finished KingAir) should be great aircraft.

Amazing pics. I need to learn some more about aircraft design. I had no idea you could get all that texturing, seemingly without textures being applied. Nice work!

Cheers,

and still no KA.. It amazes me how you can keep taking on new stuff, but project many paid for just never get finished.

Possibly procedural materials in 3ds Max: I expect these are renders from Max. Once artist is happy with these they can be used as a basis to generate specular and bump maps for FSX.

Definitely a favourite of mine. I still have the remains of a wooden prop from a Cessna Crane that my dad recovered when one belly landed outside of the BCATP base at Brandon, Manitoba where he served as an airframe mechanic in the wartime RCAF...

Milviz has a very large team and is quite capable of tackling multiple projects simultaneously. :encouragement:

but they cant finish KA in 2 years time. I think that is how long ago I paid for it. So maybe they should better utilize the very large team better. It is absolute pathetic that the KA have yet not been finalized, but hey they got our money, and please spare us the excuses of this and that. if you can keep pumping out work and release planes, only the pre-paid one never get finished, then something is seriously wrong in prioritizing work.

The biggest factor with the king air was the avionics. It wasn't working as realistic as MV wanted... so it took a lot of time to find a different avionics coder for the Pro Line 21.

Ok, back on topic. This thread is for the WIP Bobcat. . .if you want to talk about the King Air (or complain about it), start another thread.

Soooo, how about this new Bobcat huh? I've had several over the years, each one a bit better than the previous version but this one goes way beyond the average. Not surprised though as MV is detail oriented. Even in the current state it's very impressive. Should be a favorite with a large number of Simmers.

I'm usually not one for this period of aircraft technology, but this is a interesting one and seems like it will be very well done.
