Milviz P-38L Gauge Lighting fix

I believe I have come up with a fix for the cockpit gauge lighting in the prior Milviz/now default P-38L that comes with P3Dv4.5.

I have messed around with mine so much that I am not completely sure which files come with the default now and I don't want to mess with whats working by trying to go back to default. I know,,,,I should have backed up the originals. lol

I am inquiring of anyone with the default unmodified aircraft if you have these files?
1) "canopy" subfolder in the "texture" folder within the P-38L directory
2) Milviz_Lighting_Gauge.dll in P-38L dir
3) P38L_Lights.dll in the panel folder

Here are some screenies. High and low for gauge lights and additional cockpit lights on a seperate switch. I chose low intensity red since it's military and it works best when my eyes adjust. I am also looking for a tester before posting. It would be a small zip file.

Here you go. BACKUP your P38 Folder.
Please see the readme. This is a picky old bird.

Please post ASAP if this is not working for you and I'll remove it. I've done all I know to do. :applause:

UPDATE!

After installing the v4.5 Hotfix 3 patch. ( I installed the Client and Content ) I found that it added in some textures I did not account for in my previous postings. In the P38L ,,,,texture/canopy dir you only want the 3 bmp files I provide in the download. The additional textures 4 thru 9 need to be removed and backed up in another folder. These additional textures will light up if not removed. They are bright and do not enhance in any way. Sorry for the confusion. It would have been better to just package the entire plane, but I was unsure about copyrights.

Nick, do I understand that this pertains to the P3D v4.x variant ? If so I'll move the thread to the sub forum.

This should apply to ver5 also. But moving it to P3d ver 4 subforum is fine too since I have only been working with it in ver 4.5.

Thanks
