Anybody know of a way to change the pilot photo that is diplayed in the pilot dossier? I know where all the pilot photos are and the pilot dossier text, but dont know how theyre both linked. Or is determined by enlisted pilot number?

Hi Rooster,
If you want to change an ace photo, just replace it with the one you want, renaming it exactly the same as the original (you might want to save the original somewhere else). Same procedure if you want to substitute in the user pilot photos.

Hi Rooster,

For a given country
Photo #1 is the one you see for Pilot dossier 1, photo 2 is for dossier 2 etc etc

So if your upto pilot number 5 for the RFC then put your new picture in the Britain folder named the same as the original #5 image, and thats what you will see in game. Like Shred says though back up the original first.

Thanks for the all the help. However, I worded my question terribly....hate it when I do that. Soooooo if I like the pic of pilot #5 but Im only up to pilot #1 can I change the pic by editing the "Pilot1Dossier" file?

Hi Rooster,

Just looking at my current pilots dossier, I would say no to your question, the dossier files doesnt refferance any pilot.bmp images at all.

I would say the manger is coded indipendantly of the dossier file to take pilot picture #1 and apply it to dossier # 1 etc.

Sooo, in your case I would take my #5 picture and rename it as #1 and vise versa, this will give you your desired picture in game for your current pilot.

just thought, if you like one certain pilot image you could make multiple copies of that image and name them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc et c and you will get the same image for every pilot you enlist, until you reach the last one you made. ie #25

Ahh. Thanks Cap'n! That makes sense. I always delete my dead pilots, except for my MP one. So thats what I'll do, just rename the pic I like to pilot1. Thanks again.
