I am able to use scenery created for FSX in my Prepar3D V4.5 with just a bit of a problem. These are sceneries developed for FSX by someone else and shared for free. I discovered I am guessing because they were created first for FSX and then because they more than likely were created in an older ADEx version that ANY taxiway that has a HOLD SHORT node on it, disappears before the HOLD SHORT node. There is only pieces of taxiways. I experimented for some hours on Saturday and discovered this by noticing that taxiways that were not leading to runways hence needing the HOLD SHORT or ILS HOLD, were intact. After removing the nodes and replacing them with GP HOLD SHORT or ILS HOLD which look nicer anyway in ADEx V1.76 and saving the airport in Prepar3D V4 version all the taxiway was visible., I uninstalled my ADEx V1.79 and installed V1.76 to see if that made a difference. I am going to re-install V1.79 again so that it is up to date again with the latest version. If you are not using ai aircraft at the airport, you don't need the ADEx HOLD SHORT nodes if you want to use the GP ones which allow you to size them across a multiple taxiway to a runway as shown in Google Earth as well as adding Enhanced Taxiways with the GP which really looks good. Don't forget the red rectangles on the runways if they are at the real airport. Comments welcome!
