After finally getting all of the extra programs installed in order to use the Terrain SDK utility for CFS3 I have ran into a missing tool that was suppose to be included with the program "Image Tool".
After reading the Compiled HTML Help file in the Mosaic Editor listed under
Reference, Director Options, Image Tool, that was to be included with this utility located in the Tool folder.
I went back to the MS Combat Flight Simulator 3 web site and downloaded the utility again uninstalled and re-installed it and the "Image Tool.exe"
it calls for is not there.
Is there a newer version out that is available that has this Tool included.
This is what is stated under Image Tool in the "Reference, Directory Options" help section.
"The Image Tool, which comes with the CFS SDK, allows you to convert many different image file formats to the DDS format used by Combat Flight Simulator. If you set this field to the location of Image Tool, the Mosaic Editor will convert your PSD files to DDS files when you export a mosaic to the MOS format."
Or do I need to find a replacement Image Tool to take it's place? If so which one?
I'm still learning how to use the SDK utility and so far it has me 100% confused at this time. iI some fellow member has been able to create a document that will show how to use it in a simple step by step method than I am lost. Then all I can do is alot of trail by error method until I can get the hang of using it!! :isadizzy:
