Missing VASI at CYYJ

I added updated scenery to CYYJ and while very good, I noticed the VASI for runway 31 has disappeared. I suspect it's located on my original FS9 discs since the VASIs were there long before I made any upgrades. Somewhere I have a list of everything on the original discs.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I really miss the VASI.

If you have the AFCAD program you can put it back on very easy.

The default VASI will still be there if you remove the addon. The author probably forgot to add it to his own AFCAD. As stated, just open the addon with AFCAD2 and add it back in via the runway properties.

Thanks, guys. I just downloaded AFCAD 2.21, but I've never used it before so there's a learning curve. I replaced the newer AFCAD with an older one, but still no VASI so I'm using the newer one again. I'll get into AFCAD 2.21 in a bit and see what I can do.

Please stand by as there will likely be more questions.:kilroy:

You've started down yet another addictive path in the FS world!:applause:

Open the program, then File > Open. When you search for your airport, you should find two choices - stock and mod. The mod choice should be from your addon. Once you've opened it, zoom in on the runway and double click on it. The Runway Properties dialog will pop up and the last tab there is for slecting the VASI.

Thanks for the help, Tom. I did as you instructed, but no joy. I saved the change as a new AFCAD file (AF2_CYYJ.bgl) and it shows today's date, but still no VASIs. I must be doing something wrong, perhaps as simple as holding my mouth incorrectly.

I wish I could tell you more. It sounds like there's an exclude file that's taking out the VASI in error. It might be worth an email to the package author.

Sometimes this is the culprit:
Check that you have only one AFCAD for the airport (use Windows search on your flightsim folder) and keep only your new one.
This would be best kept in the scenery's "scenery" folder.
