"Mission failed to load" message at end of mission

I get a "mission failed to load" message at the end of one of the MAW missions I have (it is MAW_1_NA_Fighter_SAAF_Escort 42-10-23)

the mission loads fine and plays fine, but instead of it going to the debrief at the end of the mission it issues the above message.

does anybody know what is missing? the mission opens up in Mission Builder without incident.

Give a look to the mission objectives. See if the air formations have a real one. For instance: if it is a bombing mission see they have a target and the target is marked as "goal" in the briefing section of the MB.

bombers have a target and the mission goal is the bombers that have to survive.

as Autothrottle mentioned it, there is probably something wrong with "3gb_TSpitfire5c_F_TW". Have a look at the sound.cfg file of this aircraft.
