Good evening friends,

whos does know the nice FS2004 add-on "mission Mistral"
it is is situated ner the french navy base Hyéres.
itputs in scenery the french helicopter Carrier Mistral, some fregattes with aft deck landing possibilities landing and the USS aircraft carrier
Nimits.
Ihave this scenery. And it is really chalenging to land on the aft decks of the fregates. To land on the Mistral or the Nimitz should not cause a problem
to a confirmed Helicopter pilot.
Now I want to send the original scenery (add-on) to a friend. But I do no longer find it nore at simviation, nore at avsim
I hope that FS2004 have less than less friends some one still can point me to where I can download and resend this nice add-on

Best regards

Michael

Hi Michael,
Google took me to Simviation and tells me that the file is called veh_mistral_AI_V2.zip and only from www.mirage4fs.com
The problem is that miragefs.com has no search, so it could be a bit difficult to find.

If you do get it, please let me know.

Regards,
Robin

Per https://www.pilote-virtuel.com/viewtopic.php?id=11847 VEH_Mistral_AI_V2 is for FSX SP2/A, exclusively. From what I could gather online, Michael requires the earlier iteration - Mistral 2005 for FS2004, also by Jean-Pierre Baril as was previously available at virtual corsair https://web.archive.org/web/2010073...roports/aeroports_francais_1.htm#franceport_1

Unfortunately, web archive did not manage to archive that zip. Anyhow, I found Jean-Pierre's email, and while I am not sure if it is still functional, feel free to give it a try, get in touch, and see if the file can be directly sourced from the author: J-P's email can be found if you scroll down to Missions Hélico " Baie des Anges at https://web.archive.org/web/2009010...com/php/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=5

cheers!

Hallo friends,
let us try another way as the old "Virtual Corsair" files seem to be lost
I join my scenery what I have. perhaps some one can look at it and tell me if
some effect or textures files or what ever is missing.
Otherwise it is on my believe a nice add on for FS2004. Especially for helicopter pilots

Best regards

Michael

Good evening,
thank you for your reply,
Wonder if in teality it would be admitted by the US NAVY and their boss to a Rafale to land and start on the Nimitz LOL
Even this scenery shows its age it is a fine scenery for naval operations for aircrafts and helicopters.
FS2004 is still alive and still there are some gooodies to find.

Best regards

And to all a happy and better yeat 2026

Rafale's already took off and landed from USN carriers. But that is a Mirage 2000. It can't do either (in real life)
