Hey All,

I need everyone's input on this. So please jump in and leave something.

Here is my question,

Is there away to spawn an item to the players location no matter where they are?

I know that I can have triggers set to spawn an item. I need it to spawn infront of the player everytime the event occurs. I haven't tried it myself, yet.

Please chime in with anything. Even if its to say no it can't be done.

all I that comes to mind...

You can set a specific event/goal at the location(s) you want and upon completion of that goal (eg: sink a specific destroyer) you can spawn your planes/ship or vehicles however seconds later and at a spot you designate. Your "qualifying" event can even be entering or leaving an area, reaching a specific waypoint, reaching a certain altitude or if your ordnance is equal to or less than a specific percentage.

John,

Greg has it exactly right...I couldn't have stated at any better. :very_drunk:

I'll spit it out what I want to do.

Tango_Romeo started work on AA missiles. He has the AIM9 and Atoll. He has instructions but they don't realy cover the missiles from the player's AC. So here is the objective...

I want it to spawn a missile after you fire one. My plan is to do some BVR Sparrow Launches. Maybe some with the Sidewinder. The trigger has to be from the weapon release and they have to spawn in front of the player's AC. Every time.

Thats what I'm trying to do. Its also why I want everyones input. I know some of you have worked with Tom and may have tried something like this yourself. I haven't tried it myself yet. Before I do, I want everyones thoughts on it.

There is a bombs/ordnance release selection in the Triggers Parameters. Highlight your plane/flight then click the triggers button on the top, to the left and create a "New Trigger. Name the new trigger, select "stores." There is where you may select which type - bombs, guns, torpedoes, missiles etc -you prefer). Next set the l"less than,,,equal to... greater than..." and put the number for it in the "Value " section. Save that trigger to use in your "event" where you set it up so that when that trigger is reached, the spawning will occur.

PS: Reading what you want above, I don;t see how that could happen... Sorry.

You would have to have the missile be an aircraft.

It would have the texture of the missile.

I would suggest you make one with a jet fighter and replace the texture, dp, and air files to match the missile, keeping the jet sound.

When you set the trigger at "rockets, bombs, etc. at one less than you currently have, it spawns or re-spawns in front of your aircraft.
I would also make sure the actual aircraft missile NOT have a texture or smoke trail.

I would also set the dp to explode in close proximity to the enemy aircraft or ground target rather than a direct hit.

Model is already made for the AIM 9. I would have to make one for the AIM 7 Sparrow. Which isn't that big of a deal.

Its the Spawning issue that I'm worried about.
