Blues is Life
Hey Folks,
Thought this was a bit silly.

I guess it was ok for him to wear those shoes during the All Star game which had a much broader audience than the local game. The fine is a drop in the bucket for him at his salary but I hope the entire team wears orange and black checkered shoes to spite them. Its not like they were neon green or somthing, they match the team colors. But I guess with all the facial hair styles, tattoos, some players wearing stirrups, some dragging their pantlegs in the dirt MLB wants to pretend it likes conformity.

Cheers

Crap, the politics of sports even gets into the clothing act, sound like the Radio Shack jersey-gate in the Tour de France this year. Oh well, some doo-doo-head I guess decides he needs to do a job. These nit-pickering political blow-hards should be tar and feathered and get a dang life.

Now if I were a baseball Nazi, however, I'd do away with full length pants that drag the ground. Real baseball players wear knee-high knickers with high stockings and that by tradition is the way it should always be.

I just heard the other day that orange is the new "in" color. It may be awhile before I start dressing like a clown, though.

So there's a MLB dress code? How about MLB grooming standards? Like either grow a proper beard or be clean-shaven for the games. Or use some of that astronomic salary to get a real haircut so you don't look like a derelict.

they had to do something, after all. the only sport more boring than baseball is golf, and only when tiger isn't playing :icon_lol:

Baseball boring, you never played did you? Now gymnastics, figure skating, diving, any bull hockey sport that has to be judged in lieu of being won outright by the best competitor, that's boring to tears, not to mention a bit faggy. I use to love tennis, but they're such whiny little snits now, I don't care to see that either.

But baseball, man you gotta get out and go to a game, best social team sport there is replete with Summer-dressed babes and beer. :jump:
