Monitor U/St

BeauBrummie

Home for tea and tiffin!
Started PC up and the monitor didn't display it's usual start up Acer splash screen. The power light was on though. Swapped it over with the monitor on kids old XP PC. Their old monitor worked on our Vista PC, but the Acer monitor was still dead on their PC. Bugger.

Time to break into the piggy bank then! These things always fail when least convenient, but I'm surprised how prices have tumbled - I'd easily get a 24" monitor for what I paid for this 20" job. And there's always the kids' piggy banks :icon_eek:

I recently bought a 24" LG LED monitor, and was surprised how low prices have come down over the past few years. So think of it as an opportunity!

I've found the colour richer and all the old textures now look much better - makes me realise what I've been missing, and also makes some skins look *** amazing :applause:

So can certainly recommend going to LED, it just freshens up the whole look of the sim.

I've priced up a couple online for between £90-100, a Phillips and an LG. BOTH 22 inch LCD on Save.com.

Got the very latest LG LCD monitor off the 'net out here for $165A freighted to door, last Xmas. Only mm's thick and sposed to use only 4 watts....really improved display apparently.

I've ended getting an Acer 21.5 inch LCD widescreen. I bought it from my local computer shop in Malton which by the time you deducted delivery costs and for me the fact I could take it home there and then was on par with many web offers I saw.
