Monte Cassino Night Mission

As soon as Owen and I finish up the two night missions I plan to go ahead and release the first package and Part One of the L-5 Master package. Next will be the Anzio landings followed by pack three which will be Operation Dragoon.

Here are scenes from Night mission #1 with briefing as follows:

Earlier in the day you flew a Bird Col. from Div. Arty up to the Plateau where the Abbey of Mote Cassino is located. The Germans were driven out of the area earlier in the day and you landed on a very short 600 ft strip that had had been used by a Fiesler Storch previously based at Monte Cassino.
Darkness has fallen and you must now make a night takeoff using the 600 ft of clear area amid the burning wreckage of German vehicles. The cool night air will help with your takeoff and you will return and land at your grass field with the aid of flare pots.

Just a heads up the Col. will ask you to recon up the valley after takeoff before heading home to look for German fuel and ammo trucks moving under cover of darkness.

I have sent to 1-O Driver the missions for this I was allowed to play with..
They are a fun lot, When Steve approves of this group..
I am sure they shall be posted Here at SOH..

Owen is a better mission builder than I am, three of his excellent missions are in this first pack that is ready for upload. Anzio pack will be available next week late maybe with more new stuff in it.

If we have time maybe Owen can include some fighter bomber missions using the Anzio templates. It could also be used for a couple of Luftwaffe missions hitting the beaches.
