Montoya

Kurt Busch feels exactly the same way about Jimmie ;)

So does Denny Hamlin. :d

But ain't Kyle Busch summin'? I have always liked him, those who have followed my posts here know I have liked him since day one, when he was a brash. arrogant teenager. I liked him then for the same reason i like him now, he's old school, championship be damned, winning is what matters. He can drive anything with wheels and win; Bad Brad, take a back seat, pleeze! Pulled the triple at Bristol; let me tell ya, that is harder than pitching a perfect game in baseball.

Can't stand Kyle's attitude, but he's got more talent than anyone else in NASCAR.

Yeah, Montoya gave it to Jimmy Saturday night.

Hey All,

Time to talk turkey. Look at this pair of articles.

The first is on Kyle Busch - the second on Brad Keselowski.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ski-is-one-of-the-classiest-drivers-in-nascar

These articles have it exactly right. To top it off Keselowski has to "take" being wrecked by Kyle and can do nothing about it as he is on probation - mostly for Edwards actions - how fair and equitable is that? Talk about Kyle being nothing but a chickensheet. What is up with NASCAR? That said Keselowski will be fine - Roger will stand by him as Brad has more character than Kyle will probably ever have.

On Kyle and his talent. He has one Nationwide series championship - nothing more in trucks or Cup - how bout you actually deliver on that "talent" - nuff said.

As for Kyle and his so called historic feat - It is true that it has never been done before but who has even tried? You don't see any Hendrick cars even attempting it - so - so what? What if Dale Sr had tried for it - would it even be worth mentioning?

Now Montoya - averages about 1 win every two years on a road course. Bout right for his level of driving talent. Lets look at his teammate Jamie McMurray - hmmm - Daytona 500 and Indy 400 wins in the same year - something only Jamie, Jimmie Johnson and somebody else (not Kyle) has ever done - and in his first year at Ganassi too - think Chip has noticed? What's up Juan? Maybe you should be trying to learn from Jamie.

You're making an unsubstantiated assumption that this hasn't occurred or isn't occuring already ;)

But the main difference between you & me here in this long running jib/jab is that in the past, I've definitely admitted that Juan has screwed up....You, well...I've yet to see you think something other than Jimmie being God himself driving

I.E.,
I guess I'll jump on the JJ bandwagon state that Jimmie is flawless & has never screwed up.....
Either someone has a better car (i.e. your comments about Joe Gibbs Toyota - & Jimmie has never had the best car) or it's plain the other drivers fault...

Go Jimmie!

One last thing....
I actually like Jimmie & in other arenas, I can actually talk about him with other Jimmie Johnson fans who aren't on the far edge & have a broader view of things :)

So did Juan screw up yesterday? Yep! - A saving grace in this case is that this didn't happen during The Chase...

However, as a Montoya fan, I take some solitude in that judging from all the post race intervies, it's of my opinion that this wasn't done in malice or in anger as some other drivers have done....

Hey All,

Jeez! I'll say it here and now Jimmie has screwed up as has every driver - and he has admitted it. No question about it. I've never seen a need to bring it up. Some are just racing deals like the last one with Kurt Busch - Jimmie bump drafted Kurt at the same time another car was trying to side draft - didn't work out but it was not a blatant deliberate scroo-up like a lot of the stuff going on now - like Busch turning Keselowski. It was nothing like what Montoya did this week - he had room on the outside but probably not on the line he wanted to follow as he would have lost speed and time taking the room Jimmie gave him - get over it Juan - you were out driven and out maneuvered - you have no business saying I'm taking the line I want and coming down on the car who beat you and turning him. Jimmie won't waste his time trying to get even but he will be more forewarned about what a chicane Montoya is. Jimmie is focused on five in a row not petty get evens.

From what I could tell watching some race recaps of this last weekend (I was at our local fair) - Jimmie had the best car this week - but the best car doesn't always win. Look at the 11 - it was pretty good but something in the driveline failed. Most of the last several weeks the Hendrick cars have been clear underdogs to the Roush, Gibbs and Childress cars. They've a lot of work to do. What happened more than the last few months or so ago is irrelevant as that is history. The focus is on now - meaning number 5 for both Jimmie and Jeff.

I've no doubt your cheering for Jimmie will make all the difference over the next 12 races! :salute:

PS I've also no doubt the Ganassi teams do work together but I bet Juan is not very happy about what Jamie has done this year.

Hey All,

An another thing - Jimmie isn't God - David Pearson was :jump: with Dale Sr as Jesus and Jimmie Johnson, Davey Allison and Tim Richmond as disciples. As for today's drivers for me it's basically Jimmie, Jeff, Kurt (who was a punk but grew up) and ever increasingly Brad - I really like his character.

Juan I like but he is not the kind of driver for me I look for intelligence first - any time smart driving beats brawn and/or reflexes I'm happy.

Wrong in my view.....
When you slam other drivers but refuse to admit the issues with your driver, then yes, you do need to bring it up......

Everyone in this sub- forum has admitted the problems with their driver but you.....

Hey All,

Memories sure are selective here. You can't go back through old threads to show anything different as this forum only goes back a month. That said at the beginning of this thread
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=40293 I said the 48 had no clue about the setup they needed - which they didn't. Also Jimmie did stroo up at one of the restrictor plate tracks here recently - no question about it.

What I have a problem with is deliberate wrecking of other drivers - not skillfully executed bump and run that doesn't wreck the other car. Drivers performance and performance history on the track is what it is. Facts are facts. It isn't all luck.
