More Star trek pics

My Constitution class blueprints are signed by James Doohan :) NCC-1701 was indeed built at the San Fransisco Naval Yard, assembly took place in orbit. NCC-1701D was built at the Utopia Planitia yards on Mars.

I believe I had this same poster when I was a yoot. If I remember correctly it said the refit Enterprise had a max speed of Warp 12. This would have been before Star Trek TNG when Gene Roddenberry decided to make Warp 10 the known maximum speed. (Although in the final TV episode, "All Good Things" we see Federation starships travelling at Warp 13)

I still have my Star Trek Blueprints and my Franz Joseph Starfleet Technical Manual. One was a gift from my late aunt (she paid 5 USD) and the other was a Christmas gift from my mother in, I think, 1975. I'd have to be literally starving before I sold them.

NOTE: Even back then, there were continuity problems between the tech manuals and the televised series. I won't list them all, but just as an example, the Tech Manual Bridge has two doors, while the series had only one. Nerds argue over these things.
 
NCC-1701D has only one public-area bathroom, and carries a huge rubber ducky and a DC-3. Most importantly one of the medical scanners measures your health insurance remaining... it ever flatlined and 'He's dead Jim!'. :)
