The combination of the Essex class carrier when it's available and the new F6F that should / hopefully will be out soon will be sweet. Thanks!

I think you mistake me for someone else ?, Crashaz is working on Coral Sea as far as I know, I may well opt for Midway in Vietnam guise later next year, I havent yet seriously considered a Korean Midway, would be kinda cool with all those 5" turrets down the sides. I do plan a Korean version of the Essex class ( USS Boxer ) and maybe a Vietnam one too ( USS Oriskany ), there's plenty to choose from so I just focus on these two for the time being, though it is had to concentrate and the pile of Iwo Jima LPH data looks awfully tempting LOL.

To be honest the Essex class alone could fill all my time, long hulls, short hulls, splinter camo, all over blue, two tone, let alone refits and theater specific variants, problem is, unless your really passionate about Essex carriers or WWII history, one looks much like another so making other variants tends to fall short on interest.

The Baltimore cruisers were great ships, but as with the fast battleships, spent much of the later war as escorts for the carriers, or in shore bombardment duties. Trial speeds were an dissapointing 31.7 knots at a 14000 ton displacement. However these ships were not so top weight critical as the similar Cleveland light cruisers.
