More weirdness

It seems there has been a change in the bowels of FS. Now when I apply any elevator trim, the visual model only shows the control surface moving up or down rather severely, instead of the entire horizontal assembly as used to happen. When it breaks ground, whatever position the surface was in it seems to go back to neutral with a loss of the effect as well. When I reset the trim there is hesitation then an abrupt visual movement again with a corresponding quick response to the pitch. Is the game possessed for halloween?

The noise you may have heard was a self administered dope slap. I had confused trim for pitch in the settings.

And also Chrome is having issues opening these dialog boxes.

I hate Chrome

I had Chrome for a while and hated it. It was a big pain in the rear. Another one of Microsoft's wonderful ideas. I got rid of it and now everything work and works much easier.

I'm ok with Chrome, works really well for some things; but I leave IE as my default browser, so it doesn't cause any issues in FS - Aeromed, just reset IE as your default and you should be good to go.

No issues with Chrome for me....I have not used IE in years. That's the beauty of having a selection though. You get to pick what ever YOU like.
Don't blame Microsoft for Chrome though...............it's GOOGLE last time I checked.

Haven't used IE for many many years, Opera is and always will be my choice, highly underrated and often overlooked in favour of the big names, but more secure, faster (I've seen statistics) and (in my experience) more reliable.

Only problem I've ever had is SimViation as they don't support it. But they have nothing the other sites don't. If I'm desperate I use Firefox for them.

my mistake

Chrome is Googel not Microsoft. But it never did work right for me,,it was always hard to download things and was also difficult to go to some websites.
I still hate it and won't install it again.Sorry about blaming Microsoft.

Chrome has worked Ok for me until yesterday, probably something I did so I'll be reinstalling. When I go to write something in a post, there is no box defined and no cursor. Wait there it is.. now it's moved a little to the right...there see? It did it again...

I think this has something to do with adobe flash or sow other plugin that most forum sites new use...and is somehow worked into chrome as well. That simply needs to match the version the board uses and then it works.

So re-installing Chrome will likely fix it if it also ends up updating the plugins etc.

Cheers

Interesting thread. I recently took advantage of RAZBAM's BIG sale and bought a bunch of planes, among them the Banshee "Promo" package. In order to make these purchases I DL'd and installed Chrome. Everything worked OK, and I didn't have very much trouble with the PayPal delay thing. What interests me, as it relates to the thread, is that after installing the Banshee, and flying it a couple of times without incident, it began to misbehave . Every time I load it up in to FS and "try" to fly it, upon any flap input, the flight crashes to it's starting point. It doesn't matter which model of the aircraft I have loaded, or where I am flying/taking off from, ANY flap input crashes ("Aircraft Overstressed Crash") me. In the air or on the ground. Every time. Question: could this be related to having Chrome on my computer? Until reading this thread I would never have even considered the possibilty. Sage advice, please.

Well I can't call it sage but I'm thinking the download probably went OK. I've heard tell that loading certain AC on startup can set the stage for problems. Does this happen when you start the game with the Banshee? You might try reinstalling it too.

Don't have any aircraft from RAZBAM...just not my sort of aircraft...though they do look very nice.
But I would be willing to bet it has nothing to do with Chrome.

Cheers

I've always run IE with several deeper security settings tweaked to my liking. This semester, I'm working with Google's App Inventor as part of my programming class. IE8 would never let my d/l my finished source code packages, so I installed Chrome. (They're both Google - should work, right?) Well, AI requires a Java applet d/l every time you run the editor, and with Chrome, there's no way to just run it. You have to download yet another copy to your Downloads folder. I had a conversation with my programming instructor who told me that IE9 was much more advanced behind the scenes than many people knew, so I tried it. Now I can run the applet without having to save another copy, and I can d/l my source - both on the same browser.
