MosEditor ?

Feel a little bummed, right now, almost stupid, for something so simple.

Opened the editor, and clicked on one of the smaller windows. My mouse is acting up (maybe a bad driver), and clicking that small window, it maximumed.

The question is, how the heck do you get it back to normal size?? Tried right click restore, but stays maximumed. Tried everything, nothing works, to re-size that window. What am I missing? Don't find anything in help.

Thanks for any help!

Nobody?

That window flat refuses to restore to it's original size.
Only thing I haven't done is re-boot...guess that's next...see ya.

Well I have just opened the mos editor put just empty. I see 2 extra windows and clicking or either of them had no size effect for me. I assume you closed the editor and reopened it?

Have you tried cycling through apps with Alt+tab? If you don't have other apps opening, just open Explorer (Windows+E) and then try cycling.

Just a guess but worth a shot?

By the way, apparently the later .mos editor that came with the Terrain SDK is the one of choice and works for aircraft too, FWIW.

HTH,

Thanks, guys.

No other programs open, at the time. Think my main problem, is my mouse. About a month ago, it started acting flaky. I'm on XP, clicks set normal, one click to highlight, two to open. The dang thing started opening the files, with only one click, many times, when I want to work in a different window, instead of simply selecting the window...it expands it to maximum size!

That's what happened in the MOSEditor. I can open the window that expands, or re-sizes (restore) the window, but...it restores back to the maximum size. Went through the help file, but nothing on window sizes.

I was able to get what I wanted done, but a pain in the rear. It's the 'Layers' window. Open it, select what I want, then have to close the window, to see the others.

I guess there's nothing in the menu, that would restore that window size, or at least I didn't find anything.

btw...yep, it's the editor that's with the Terrain SDK. And, opening the editor, now, empty, or any aircraft.mos, that window is still at maximum!

Hi Crossram, you could try opening the mos editor from a desktop shortcut, then you could try the "windowed" trick whereby you stipulate the size of the window in the shortcut, just as you can for cfs3.exe. Instructions are in the Knowledgebase sticky somewhere.

BTW, your flakship is still much appreciated. You don't have any similar ships hidden on your hard drive?

D

Thanks for the kind words! Sorry, no other ships...though, I figured a flakship was much needed, and I had a kick making it. Have way too many projects going. Probably why I don't get much completed. Time!!

Bassingbourn, Keroman, a few I have released, such as the three flakturms in Berlin, with the command center. I don't even know if they are still uploaded! If not, and there's any interest, I can upload 'em. Several aircraft...hard on the Ju88C-2...and a bunch of time on it. (Every blue moon, I make time to fly!)

That's a good suggestion on the editor! I'll give it a shot.
(Irritating they didn't add the commands on the window top bar.)
