Most stolen/Least stolen vehicles in the USA

Interesting, I think having a stick shift helps you too. Not many people these days seem to know how to drive a stick anymore.

Some of these thefts might be done by this little gadget.

As of right now the police do not know what it is but it will unlock some vehicle doors (always the passenger door) and disable the alarm. GM products are one of the lines that are vulnerable to this type of security hole. I have been told Fords do not have this problem.

I think this little tidbit at the end may be the best clue as to the list and order...

The best way to defeat car thieves may be simply to buy a vehicle nobody else wants.

And I will add "don't keep anything in it."

Sage advice; I bought a little beater with a 4 banger to save on gas, and it's definitely hiding in plain sight. Cheap stereo, and no foo foo accessories.:icon_lol:

Yahoo! My wife's minivan will probably still be where she left it when I get up tomorrow. :icon_lol:

theres a little device you can make with an arduino chip.. Its called TV be gone. You carry it in your pocket and pranksters have used it to turn off televisions in wallmarts and other stores across the country. it works by parsing through a list of manufacturers codes and broadcasting them till it hits the right code which will shut the TV off. It wouldnt be a far stretch to reset the range of codes to be the ones that unlock car doors..
