Mp game sat nite....Good time for all you newcomers to join in.

so,,,now that you know all this,,no sense in watching..

I will have a mp game up tonight, probably around 730 edt or so.

Nice game for anyone who hasnt joined into a mp game. We love to just fly around in formation and practice, no need to shoot each other all the time. So if you are new, and just want to fly with people, please join in.

Eventually will move on to some missions, so you will be flying against ai, (and possibly some ppl), but still alot of fun.

If you dont have teamspeak, go to teamspeak.com, and get the client download (5.6mb) server address is 217.155.102.217:8767 (note..that is a colon before the 8767), and password is camel.

Even if you dont have a mic, its handy if you can hear everyone else.

will post ip when game goes up.
 
Really looking forward to this kind of play once I get my dirty mitts on P3. I had decided not to bother with P2 since the wait is undoubtedly short.:kilroy:

I think it's a great idea, and personally, I'd like to see you guys set-up and run some more practice sessions so guys can get in and see what it's like to fly MP. More than not, folks are simply afraid to play because of the human factor of it all. It's always been that way, so to break the ice, it's a great idea.

When I flew RB3D MMP way back when, we did this, as most squadrons did, and it really helped to get the feel and understanding of how it all works. It takes a little getting used to, and open practice session are the best for it.

I'd love to join you guys one of these days, once P3 is out and we can all be on the same page. I don't have P2 running, nor do I have a copy of it anymore. So I can wait, but it's on my 'bucket list' to play more MP with the OFF MP guys. :)

PS. How long do the games last? RB3D MMP was 3 HOURS!!! Which by all means is ridiculas.

first of all,,,,did anyone notice i was almost dead nuts on the football game???

and ovs, i agree. would almost be nice if you could disable guns (groan...you probably can and i dont know it....)

But i will,,at every chance available put up a game.

at the beginning, I was just putting them up at work,,and then leaving, letting people join as they wished. kind of a mini server if you wish.

when people started actual joining, i got away from that. will start it back up today.

Still have to get across to people that these are for fun only. I'm sure there is a way to get that across. Maybe you or someone else could make a sticky for people putting up practice games could post their ip. If most people are like me, they want to know how to host, as well as join.

well,,,the dogfight games last until everyone gets tired, or it gets late. I think we have played for over 2 hours more than once.
 
My hope is that once P3 is out some one will start a site that will deal with nothing but OFF MP flying. I know I keep tooting PD's horn regarding the "Boys of 60" website and IL2 to some folks but I hope something akin to that site will be done for OFF.

I fly with Duck, Canis Firestorm and others when I can in P2 but there are many compatability issues that need to be worked out. Some guys have Team Speak some guys don't and then there's the dreaded Aircraft Avalability errror we seem to get alot.

Once a good organized group can be formed these issues can be resolved easily! I am optimistic we will get there
