Must delete uisel.xml file to re-start CFS3

Greetings All,
I was having an issue with starting/re-starting my CFS3. I am running Win7-64, and the game would let me get all of the way to the point of being on the air field, with the pilot and associated gear. I was able to select any flight option--Free Flight, Mission, ect., but as soon as I clicked on "FLY", the game shut down, and I got the Error Box "CFS3 has Stopped Working". I checked my \\appdata\\file and noticed I did not have an UnlimitedPilotsfile.xml. So, I deleted the uisel.xml file and re-stared the game. It worked fine..The first time. I tried to restart it--no go--same Error Box. Checked the \\appdata\file, both files mentioned above were there. Tried to delete the UnlimitedPilotsfile.xml and restart. No go. Then I uninstalled the uisel.xml file and it starts every time. What's up? I changed my SOH e-mail a few weeks ago, but Dangerous Dave took care of all the technical stuff related to that; is there something I need to do regarding my e-mail on my end? Thant is the only system change. I make sure my malware and ant-virus are turned off, so if anyone has idea's about what files I need to check or replace, I would appreciate the assist.

hi Ohiotrooper,

just guessing here but IIRC the uisel and unlimited pilots files in the AppData pathway are rebuilt from base files of the same name found in the root directory of your install. Take a look at those files in the root directory, to check if there are inconsistencies with other aspects of your install. For example, are the nationalities represented in the unlimitedpilots base file the same as the nationalities called for in your campaign.xml file? If you have made any changes to your install and there is a mismatch perhaps that would explain the shut downs?

No changes to install CFS3 1.50 files..But,

Hey Guys, Thanks for the Reponses. I did check all the pertinent files and nothing looks out of place. I did follow the CFS3 1.50 install instructions for Win7-64 to the "t". One new variable I did notice, if I re-start the game from within the game (like if I crash and burn and click "Replay", the game fires right up; No muss, no fuss. It seems as if it is only when I shut down CFS3 and re-start it from scratch, do I have to delete the uisel.xml file to get it to start. Does that make any scene? Once the game is up and flying, everything functions as it should. So, this is my new SOP to get CFS3 1.50 in the air..It aint pretty, but it works.
