Must-have MSFS 2024 utilities

Bad2000 dropped a new update of MSFS Addons Linker already, the day before the sim releases.

Primary change is that there's a separate executable for FS2024. So you can maintain separate setups for each sim.

This will be hugely helpful as we determine which of our old add-ons work! And if you have a folder setup like mine, you can do things like point it to your MSFS2020 "Oregon" or "Austria" or whatever folder to test compatibility without having to duplicate files.

My plan is to create a separate folder with FS2024-specific add-ons, as well as use Addons Linker to active FS2020 add-ons as needed.

(Though as I advised separately, get the sim up and running and fully tested before you start lobbing add-ons into it!)

Navigraph and the TDS GPS both were updated and appear to work, though addons that use the TDS unit may not work yet (haven't tried it.)

Great, valuable advice here. I've never had FS2020, but too, I plan to proceed with caution when installing FS2024 onto my blank slate.
Currently I'm tinkering with Galaxy Xbox and Forza on the big screen while waiting for things to settle down with FS.

I need to figure out what has happened with 2020 3rd party add ons - have read some during the 2024 installation, may have been transferred from the 2020 Community folder into the 2024 'Main' folder.
One writer was suggesting this could be slowing our PC's, cluttering them up, [if it happened]

Axis & Ohs has just released a 2024 upgrade through Just Flight. I have downloaded it but haven't installed it yet. It will be nice to have a known UI when assigning controller settings. I still haven't totally figured out the UI 2024 uses for controller settings.
