• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I apologize for asking, but I find the current information confusing. How and where can I play multiplayer games online? I went to Game Ranger and did not see anything. I am not sure how to do the individual IP games. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

:kilroy:Dunkie22, first of all, the MS GameMatch servers have been shut down permanently for over a year and a half now.

There are some games appearing on GameRanger from time to time. You just have to look.

Games hosted by members of this Forum will be posted in this sticky thread: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=17946

To join a game that is posted, simply start CFS3 and click the Multiplayer tab, click on JOIN MULTIPLAYER GAME, then type in the IP address you found in the sticky thread of a game that is currently up and running.

Hosting a game is a bit more involved. Mainly because you must open your router ports (port forwarding). Then post in the sticky thread above that you are hosting a game, and when.

Note: If you are running Vista, please read Post #1 in this thread, and do what is recommended. You will not be able to join or host until you do. Remember, this is only if you are running Vista as your OS.

I hope this helps.:d

Also if you wish to join these IP online games , ensure that you have a plain [clean] install of CFS3 with 3.1 and then 3.1a updates installed to avoid a mismatch between yourself and the host game. TS [Teamspeak] is a great help aswell if it is installed and ready to go. Good Luck !

Thanks!

I truly appreciate all the feedback and assistance. Any idea if there are other WW II flight games that are as enjoyable and have multiplayer capability?

Again, many thanks.
