This is a clip of my friend on approach on our LAN in FSX. I have been flying with him using shared cockpit, and thought he was to a point that he was able to fly solo, so naturally I had him land at SABA.

The clip must be viewed in HQ and full screen to see anything at all really.

Don't feel bad; these are common mistakes with all "beginner" pilots in the real world, too. :kilroy:

He/She's "behind the aircraft" and Here's what you can do to help him/her...

1. Look up "Slow Flight Rules" for proper landings procedures.
2. Look up "Gliding techniques" for powered flight handling.

Good Luck! :wavey:

BTW: Entertaining video; the music, especially, goes great with your video.:applause:

Is it bad that I didn't notice anything wrong? LOL :ernae:

Excellent choice of music, BTW. :wavey:

Maybe Edwards Air Force Base next time? They have nice loooong runways there. :icon_lol:

I caught myself reaching for the hand-held to yell.. " GO AROUND !! "

1) Nail the approach speed..

2) Be all but landed as you turn final.. just wait on the runway..

3) EVERY landing is a planned go-around.. but if everything falls into place.. and you find yourself a foot off the ground near stall speed (with lotsa runway left).. go ahead and land :mixedsmi:

Actually....that's not too far off from my first solo in real life.....

Except for the cliff of course....only had a chain link fence to worry about.

But it was a scary chain link fence.
