• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

My How Time Flies...

Flash Gordon, anyone? Our local station used to run them in the mornings at 06:30am before I would head off to school.

I saw William Shatner, Brent Spiner, and Gates McFadden at the Dallas Comic Con in June. Good to see that they are making the
convention circuit outside of San Diego.

It's been that long? Wow....I had no idea that I went from a 19 year old teenager to a 44 year old pre-middle aged man since that show started up.

60 is the new middle age, Tim.....you're still a young whipper-snapper!

BBC America has been running a lot of Next Generation episodes and I've got my dvr set to record them. I missed quite a few when they were in first run and I was doing the Navy thing. So, I'm getting to finally catch up on them now.

Gosh, I recently bought the entire series on DVD and am working my way through them. It's amazing how "eighties" and corny the first series was but it improved out of sight in later series.

In the early days, you caught snippets of the show's potential, like "Measure of a Man" and "The Defector". By the time they got to "The Best of Both Worlds", TNG had hit its stride and was on its way.

My favorite episodes? "Sins of the Father", "Relics", and "Lower Decks".
