Bruce McLaren hailed from around here, so there is a lot of interest in these cars.
There was a gathering of them earlier in the year, and they came from all over the world:

The great thing about them is they are strong and simple.
You can fix them with real tools, and spares are easily available, or can be made up reasonably.

When you start it, birds fly out of trees for miles around.
