Great work Matt! :applause:

That's some handsome scenery you've got there too.

called Sparti as it's part of my vPMC i'm working on... is based at LGPZ (Aktion AB, Preveza), used Athens as a quick stop off point...

Nigel, Scenery is the HSP Base and Mesh and FlyTampa Athens, gives me Greece as i more or less remember her, even my Aegean Islands use the HSP Base and Scenery but with HAS (Hellenic Actual Scenery) photoreal, i rarely land in the Aegean, usually patrolling in that area but rarely landing there (when i do land there it's usually at LGKO)...

somebodys gotta show the Turks how to fly a Viper right, right?

That plane looks suspiciously like Kirk Olssen's F-16 to me. It wears your exquisite and unique paint scheme very well, Matt.

yup it's Kirks F-16 alright, working on getting some new clothes on the birds... especially my much loved Block 52+ :icon_lol:

Matt,

that's one stunning paint job. ticks all the boxes and then some. That may even outstrip my fav display scheme ever, the Hawk display, 2010 (or was it 2009, I forget, lol)

Jamie.

thanks buddy.... just gotta work on the display itself now.... nightmare choreographing things.... worried the heck out of a buddy while practicing (in a block 52 w/CFT's)... they got some company...

Is that an actual blurred exhaust effect in the third shot or photo shopped?

If it is a real effect it looks neat, wouldn't mind having such an effect like that coupled to throttle.

the heat shimmer was photoshopped on, for those that want to know how, here is how i did it in Photoshop;
  1. Take your base image you want to add it to
  2. select an area you want to add it to
  3. make a copy of that area and paste it back into the exact position as a new layer
  4. go to 'Filter' dropdown and select Pixelate>Mosaic adjust the square size till you're happy
  5. Blur it to taste
  6. create a new layer, flood fill it white
  7. right click the new layer in layers tab and 'create clipping mask'
  8. reset your colours to black and white (press 'D' by default)
  9. go to Filter dropdown again and go to render > clouds
  10. make this layer multiply or other layer type to taste (could also blur it if you want)
  11. reduce the 'fill' slider on the layer to suit (for more precision use slider for opacity too)
that should do it :)

The shimmer looks very good Matt. It also would make a great fx file effect if it could be made to appear rich and forcefull and at the same time be made to respond to throttle response. I have never seen such an effect out there other than heat shimmer on the tarmac. Wish I knew how to make such an effect.

Nice looking paint too, I will have to try it out. Kirk's F-16 has been top of the lists for a long time now, amazing model that one.
