my new girlfriend...

...is finally ready for her public introduction.
she didn't have time to get all dressed up fancy,
so she just threw on some rags that were laying around.
like most girls, she takes up nearly all of my time,
but that's okay, 'cause I like her.

Looks very promising smilo, congrats:applause:

I can only imagine the amount of sweat, head scratching and coffee pots it took you to get there... but I've been through it myself, so I know...:ernae:

I'm smelling a 4th of July 1942 mission coming soon...:kilroy:

Hey Smilo,

She's quite impressive! ....AND you got here pretty quick! How are you doing for resources?

- Ivan.

...Coming along great, my friend!....I suddenly feel like Keith Partridge and am breaking out in song...."I Think I Love You"!....:173go1:

I hope I didn't influence the colour scheme. All my planes look like that under the paint.

- Ivan.

Hi Hubbabubba,

Yes, I know Smilo is using AD2000. We have been communicating a fair amount out of band. I still think it is a very nice looking model.

- Ivan.

gee, thanks.
she has been taking up most of my time of late.
actually, all of it.
I have lost count of the rejects, but I have kept them.
I don't know what the resources count is and I don't know how to find out.
I figure I'll just go until I am told to stop.
then, I'll start sorting and throwing.
it is true that I am using AD2000.
all in all, I like the program with a few exceptions.
it is designed for FS98, CFS1&2 as well as FS2000.
the kicker is that it does the z buffering automatically for the newer sims.
for CFS, I will have to do it manually....yikes!!!
at this point, I'm just building parts, making sure they fit and look right.
I check it out in FS2000.
when complete, then I will take on that major task and make her compatible with CFS.
finally, the colors are random and yes, inspired by Ivan.
it's very handy to observe the parts and honestly,
I left it so you could better see what I've been up to.
in a few days, I'll dress her up a bit.
if you call OD, dressed up.
maybe even a pink version for Chacha.

well, it's Friday night and we're goin' out dancin'.
if you break out the magnifying glass,
you might see my house.
it's just under the aft nacelle,
on the dotted road.
-----:kilroy:-----
today, I played with some transparency polys and coloring.
I just might do a plexi-glass nose.
or both, what the heck.
not sure about an aft turret, though.
we shall see.
I've still got the gear, prop and spinner, and then animation to do.
maybe one, this weekend.

well, that wasn't too bad.
was able to knock out the spinners in less time then it took to transfer the screenshots to another machine, edit and upload them.

Hey Smilo,

That's usually the case. Doing something takes less time than to document it.

- Ivan.

too true...
especially after one learns the process.

speaking of which,
I'm liking your Texturing Tutorial very much.
many thanks

Thanks for the vote of confidence. If I don't cover a topic well enough I hope someone speaks up. Without the screenshots and all, the texture layout should only take about 3 evenings or so.

- Ivan.
