My recent call to Dell

Due to my recent call to Dell support, and the apparent run around trying to find out some info on upgrading my system,
I was just wandering if any of you have run into this guy

I think that's the guy I had arunaround with about 6 weeks ago on my VISTA 64. Finally took it out & put in XP PRO SP3. Dell? NEVER again will I buy a Dell computer.
Talk about lack of support.

Been there with my ISP support center.

I hope things worked out OK for you and the upgrade made a difference.

Same here..will never again get a Dell for home or my business. Once they have the sale..it's "goodbye".

I sent communications to a half dozen dept heads at their HQ..never got one response..not even a form letter reply.

Farewell old friend

I've been running a Dell Optiplex for a good few years but never had to call for help - thank goodness!


It's sitting behind me right now with a disk wiping program running before I pass it on to someone else and I can think of two and a half things in its favour.....
  • The OEM version of XP didn't need a call to MS or anyone to re-activate after changing components
  • It's really quiet
  • It's very compact - so the choice of AGP video cards was strictly limited. Yes, that's the half!
But hey, it didn't cost me much! :icon_lol: but would I swap it for the rig I've got now? no.
