My CFS shortcut somehow disappeared on my old computer. Flies on Vista load, though.
Got it back with a new CD; can still fly with the old backup.
Not toward less ...
Many thoughts ... jbtate

just curious, did you try clicking on the COMBATFS.exe located in the main Combat Flight Simulator folder?

Forgot about that -- guess I could have copied and pasted that onto my desktop.
Anyhow -- I was about half po'd and tired, so I just uninstalled and reinstalled.
I had to open up a brand new copy of CFS, though -- the well worn, previously "back up to my original" copy of CFS I had been using wouldn't install the sim, although it still flies it. The new copy installed okay, though.
Carefully returned the freshly opened copy to its shipping box, complete with styrofoam peanuts ... for when my CFS copy #2 wears out. Then I'll have to get a backup for the backup to the origianl backup ...
I should just get rid of the old PII 400 and fly all of my sims on my year old Dell dual core, but I'm sentimental, and the old computer has some CFS stuff on it that I haven't bothered to move to the new computer.
Anyhow ...
Thanks for reminding me about the COMBATFS.exe in the main folder.

that's the beauty of CFS.
I runs on the old machines and operating systems,
which many of us still have.
