N14HP "Kimberly Brooke"

fsxar177

Long-Time Enthusiast
Good-evening,
In light of today's unfortunate events in Texas, I would like to do a tribute to Howard Pardue, and F8F-1 "Kimberly Brooke" Race no. 14, N14HP, s/n 90446

At Reno, in 2009, Howard qualified "Kimberly Brooke", which he just called "Bearcat" at a stunning 418.925mph.

Placed second in the Unlimited Silver heat on Friday, at 409.187mph
Place first in the Unlimited Silver heat on Saturday, at 395.888mph

And competed in the Breitling Unlimited Gold on Sunday
This would be that last race for Mr. Pardue, who was an accomplished airshow, and air race pilot.

I remember being careful around him, to specify that I liked Bearcats, and Sea Furies, for he would frown, upon mustangs, and v-12's. (which are my real forte) He loved the Big Radials, and NAVY fighters.

Excellent competition between modified mustang, and "Bearcat" 1996

I would like to paint this aircraft, on the Vertigo F8F-1. Has anyone else modified the bump maps? I'm streamlining the standard kit now.
