Nadzab, Lae, PNG - 1st successful & best airborne op of WW2

Come visit Nadzab (just outside Lae) in Papua New Guinea, and associated areas, and see how American and Australian paratroopers carried out the 1st successful airborne operation of WW2 and one considered to be the best "text-book" example of an airborne op. Nadzab, in September 1943, was the first successful airborne operation in WW2 ?? There was Fort Eban-Emael in May 1940, the invasion of Crete starting 20th May 1941 (costly, but the Germans succeeded), and the Bruneval raid in February 1942. ;)

Indeed, "for the allies", but not the first.

Like Paul K said, Eben Emael was hugely successful. And that was the first one indeed.

Members of the Airborne Brotherhood don't make the distinction between allies or axis. It's airborne, period.

Okay, well your opening post says, quote: "... the first successful airborne operation of WW2.." which it obviously wasn't. Even after adding the qualifier 'for the allies', the Bruneval raid came earlier, and was successful in meeting its objectives.
 
Added words like allied, major, paratrooper etc in video title and description for better accuracy.
